  About The School

Washington Elementary School (WES)

Washington Elementary School (WES) provides effective instruction to students in grades K-5 in an environment of excellence.  WES faculty and staff are focused on meeting the educational needs of all students through a commitment to excellence.  Our focus is on getting results in a climate of collaboration and cooperation.  Instruction is aligned to the Missouri Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) with an emphasis on student mastery of the basic skills in reading, mathematics, and writing at each grade level.  The WES Standard is Ninety (90%).  This is the minimum acceptable level for things measurable.  We improve student achievement through Practice - Rehearse - Perform.  Parental involvement is essential to Washington's educational program and student success.  At WES, parents are partners.
